Central Commons is a partnership between the City of Fremont and Habitat for Humanity that gives limited income families the opportunity to own their own home. The development features 30 energy efficient condo-style homes in several different floor plans.The complex also features private decks and balconies, a large community area, and garage parking with added storage. Central Commons offers quick access to BART, Altamont Commuter Express (ACE), AC Transit, Interstate 880, and Interstate 680.
Phase II of Central Commons includes 19 homes to be sold to moderate income households earning between 80% and 120% of the area median income. The City is considering a Live/Work Preference Policy. It is likely that preference will be given to applicants who currently live and/or work in Fremont.

The deadline to submit your completed pre-application is Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 5 p.m. No exceptions will be made for late submissions. You can submit your pre-application any time before the deadline; it is not first come, first served. The pre-application can be dropped off or mailed to the following address:

Please do not submit your pre-application to the City.
Those applicants who fill out a pre-application and qualify for the program will be included in a lottery process where they will be randomly selected to move forward in the application process. Habitat for Humanity will notify all applicants of their status by mail.
