Support Fremont's Temporary Housing Navigation Center

Join the City of Fremont in addressing the homeless crisis

As a Compassionate City, we invite you to be part of the solution and join us in creating Fremont’s first Housing Navigation Center.

As part of the City of Fremont’s strategic approach to addressing the growing homeless crisis, the City is opening a temporary Housing Navigation Center (HNC). The HNC is an innovative approach to help those experiencing homelessness find housing while providing a clean, safe, and calm environment so participants can focus on finding stable, permanent housing. The HNC will be located behind City Hall and is anticipated to open in mid-2020.

How can I help?

Support from the community will transform the HNC into an inviting and dignified place for our homeless neighbors to do the hard work of rebuilding their lives. You can help make the Housing Navigation Center successful in a variety of ways including monetary donations, donating items from our lists below, or volunteering on service days. All donations are tax-deductible.

Monetary Donations

The Temporary Housing Navigation Center aims to be a welcoming and private environment for the participants and an integrated part of Fremont’s new Downtown. Landscaping and beautification will be a crucial element in achieving this goal. Due to storage challenges of landscaping supplies, we are asking for support in this effort through monetary donations.

  • A $10 donation could help purchase a square foot of synthetic turf
  • A $100 donation could help purchase a sailcloth shade cover
  • A $200 donation could help purchase a planter trough
  • A $1,500 donation could help purchase a picnic table
