The Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth's building is open 5 days a week.  The hours are: Monday-Friday, 8am to 1pm .

Social distancing  and wearing a mask is still being required in City buildings. Any person (including staff and volunteers) coming into the building are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing while in the building.  We have masks available if you need one.

What is happening in the building now that we are open?

  • In order to control numbers of people in various parts of the building, please register in advance for activities, lunch and frozen meals at http://bit.ly/AgeWellClasses.  If you need staff assistance, staff are happy to help.  Just give us a call at 510.790.6600 or email us at agewellcenters@fremont.gov

  • Some in person classes have returned, like a walking group, creative writing and Yuanji dance (outside) and classes being held on Zoom will continue.

  • Free health services, billiards, the mobile food pantry and dine in lunch at Lake Side Café is being provided.

  • Frozen meals are available.  Pick up times for your ordered meals will be Monday-Thursday from 10am - 11am

  • Capacity limits have been decreased for all classes, including lunch at the Lake Side Café.

MEALS

All meals (hot and frozen) can be reserved on ActiveNet by going to http://bit.ly/AgeWellClasses each week or you can call us at 510-790-6600 or email your meal request to agewellcenters@fremont.gov.  Before coming into dine, you must receive a meal order confirmation.

 

Meals are dine-in only! To-go meals are not offered. 

 Regular meals- $5 for members and                                                               $7 for non-members.                                 Special meals - $6 for members and                                                               $8 for non-members  

Special dietary requests (i.e. vegetarian, gluten free and low sodium) MUST be called into the Chef no later than 24 hours in advance.

Frozen meals are available. These meals are purchased in a 2-pack.  2 sets per person each day.  Multiple days can be picked up at one time.

Costs: $7 for Members and $9 for Non-Members (2-pack)

Pickup Time: Monday-Thursday, 10-11am  

Other services that are still available:

1. Mobile Food Pantry is a walk-up service on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 10:30 am - 11:30 am.

2.  Bay Area Community Health Services is offering services indoors at the Age Well Center at Lake Elizabeth in the service room.  See page 3 of the newsletter for their monthly schedule.

MEMBERSHIP IS BACK!

Age Well Center Membership is good at both Age Well Centers and allow you to save on meals, classes and later down the line, trips.   

Membership purchased through December 31, 2021 are good for 18 months rather than 12 months as a pandemic bonus!  On January 1, 2022, memberships will be good for 12 months (1 year).

Costs Effective July 1: $35 for Fremont Residents and                                                                     $45 for Non-Residents
