2022 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave 

The State of California recently approved new COVID-19 related Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (SPSL) that is effective February 19, 2022 through September 30, 2022.  The new leave can be applied retroactively for qualifying absences taken since January 1, 2022.  Additional details and guidance regarding the 2022 COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave can be accessed online or by viewing the SPSL Poster

Employees can request to use new leave or request to have previously used leave retroactively converted to SPSL in qualifying instances by completing the Employee Request Form for Supplemental Paid Sick Leave and submitting the form to humanresources@fremont.gov

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) has issued guidance to employees whose work hours have been reduced as a result of COVID-19. Additional information can be accessed on the EDD website.  

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
