FEMA’s Flood Map Service Center

The City of Fremont has been a member of the National Flood Insurance Program since 1983 and has adopted a floodplain management ordinance to reduce flood risks for properties within Special Flood Hazard Areas. To assist communities, FEMA offers user-friendly tools that support the needs of the public in viewing, analyzing, and printing flood hazard maps on an online website called FEMA’s Flood Map Service Center.

As the official public source for flood hazard information, the Flood Map Service Center is a great resource for novice and advanced users alike. For those who cannot access the online system, the City of Fremont Development Services Center, located at 39550 Liberty St., will continue to maintain copies of Letters of Map Change and Elevation Certificates. For additional flood related data and questions the City’s Engineering Department can be contacted by e-mail or at 510-494-4718.
