At the December 11, 2018, City Council Meeting, the City of Fremont will hold a formal swearing-in ceremony of four new councilmembers, all of whom were elected during Fremont’s first district-based election on November 6.  Residents in Districts 1 through 4 voted for new Council representatives, which include Councilmember Teresa Keng (District 1), Councilmember Rick Jones (District 2), Councilmember Jenny Kassan (District 3), and Councilmember Yang Shao (District 4).

This public meeting will be held at Fremont City Hall in the Council Chambers, located at 3300 Capitol Ave., beginning at 7 p.m.  Members of the public are welcome to attend. If the Council Chambers is filled to capacity, overflow seating will be directed to other viewing areas.

The ceremonial oath of office and installation for Councilmembers Keng, Jones, Kassan, and Shao will be administered during the Council Meeting.

The Council Meeting will be cablecasted live on the Fremont Government Channel (Channel 27 for Comcast subscribers) and streamed on the City’s website while in-progress. The meeting will also be recorded, then re-broadcast on Comcast Channel 27 beginning Wednesday, December 12 after 12 p.m. and streamed on the City website

For questions about the swearing-in ceremony, contact the City Clerk’s Office at 510-284-4060 or by email.
