The Draft Irvington BART Station Area Plan is ready for review. The draft document is available online on the Irvington BART webpage at www.Fremont.gov/IrvingtonBART. A work session has been scheduled for the Fremont City Council to receive a presentation on the Station Area Plan from City staff and the consultant team, ask questions, and provide comments. The work session will take place Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in the City Council Chambers, located at 3300 Capitol Ave.
The Station Area Plan has been prepared to provide a framework for achieving the City of Fremont’s longstanding vision of a transit-oriented, active area strategically integrated with the future Irvington BART Station, consistent with the City’s 2011 General Plan and Irvington Community Plan goals. The primary purpose of the Station Area Plan is to ensure successful integration and connectivity between the Irvington BART Station, new development, and existing neighborhoods.
The public is welcome to attend this work session and provide comments. Following the work session, comments will be addressed and public hearings with the City’s Planning Commission and City Council to formally consider the Station Area Plan will be tentatively scheduled in May and June 2019.
