The City of Fremont Community Development Department has launched online payments for City permit fees. Applicants can use the City’s online permitting portal, , to pay for planning, building, fire, and engineering permits.
To make a payment, applicants need to create an account in Citizen Access and then search for their record using the address for the project or the permit number. Once a record is located, applicants can submit payment for their permit fees using a credit card. Visa or Mastercard are accepted, and the maximum payment transaction allowed is $5,000.
With the addition of this new service, the process for most permits can now be completed entirely online. With Citizen Access, applicants can submit a pre-application for a new permit request, pay permit fees, look up permitting information on a specific property, check on the status of a permit, and request a building inspection. The process is now easier and more convenient for applicants.
