Next week students in Fremont will be joining schools from across the county—and the world—to participate in International Walk and Roll to School Day on Wednesday, October 6. The event is designed to encourage students, their families, and their communities to walk, roll, bike, carpool or take transit to school. Throughout the day, students will share how they got to school by placing a sticker on our mode chart under the corresponding category that matches how they got to school. Participating students will receive fun giveaways and take part in a global event with students around the world.
Whether you are new to walking and rolling to school or walk or bike every day, this is a great opportunity to get out of your car and see your neighborhood from a new perspective. So, get your exercise, reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and have fun as you travel to and from school.
