The Resource Directory includes helpful contact information for organizations and businesses that the City of Fremont receives the most inquiries about from residents.

Please note that many of the listings are for programs and services not provided by the City of Fremont. While not formally endorsed by the City of Fremont, the included businesses are designated as "Green Businesses" through the Alameda County Green Business Program.

Alameda County Social Services - Department of Economic Benefits

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Office is closed from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm)

The Department of Economic Benefits is within the County's Social Services Agency and provides financial assistance and services to needy families with children under 18 years of age who meet financial requirements for CalWORKs to receive unemployment and community self-sufficiency services to assist families in getting off welfare and into the labor market.
