The City of Fremont invites the community to celebrate a major milestone with the groundbreaking of the new Central Park Community Center this Friday.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12:00 pm at the Central Park Teen Center (39700 Paseo Padre Parkway). The program will feature brief remarks from City leaders and a ceremonial groundbreaking to mark the start of construction.
This new approximately 20,000 square-foot facility will bring flexible space for fitness, arts, enrichment programs, and community gatherings, supporting residents of all ages. The outdoor area will include a large patio, a ceremonial lawn and terrace off the Event Hall, with improvements to parking, access, pathways and landscaping to support large events and celebrations.
The project reflects community priorities identified in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and represents a continued investment in high-quality spaces for the Fremont community.
Join us in celebrating this milestone and the future of Central Park.
