City Secures Funding of $3 Million in State Budget

On July 10, Governor Newsom signed AB 102: Budget Act of 2023, which includes $3 million in direct funding for the City of Fremont. The following breakdown shows how Fremont intends to allocate the funding:

  • $1,000,000, for the development of a Multi-Service Community Center at Central Park.
  • $500,000 for support of Housing Navigation Center.
  • $1,500,000 for support of the Commercial District Wi-Fi Access Expansion Project.

City staff worked closely with the offices of Senator Aisha Wahab and Assemblymember Alex Lee, who championed Fremont’s budget requests to secure this funding for the City and is greatly thankful for their continued partnership.
