As the City’s Finance Director and Treasurer, David Persselin oversees the Finance Department’s accounting, budget, purchasing/accounts payable, revenue, and treasury divisions. Before joining the City of Fremont, David served as Assistant Finance Director for the City of Pleasanton and as Assistant to the City Manager/Financial Status Coordinator for the City of San Jose.

David brings a wealth of knowledge to his position. He holds a Master's degree in policy analysis from the RAND Graduate School, a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the United States Military Academy. Additionally, David has been designated a Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) by the Government Finance Officers Association.
