For animals on the freeway or on/off ramps, and Highway 238 (Mission Blvd, north of I-680) and Highway 84 (Peralta Blvd), please report the dead animal to Caltrans using the form below.

Response Time

Pickup may take up to 72 hours, but immediate priorities may delay pickup. We know seeing a dead animal on the road can be difficult, and our team works to respond as quickly as possible. If the animal is in a location that is unsafe for staff, we may not be able to collect it.
