The Fremont Police Department's Animal Services Unit runs the Tri-City Animal Shelter, which serves Fremont, Union City, and Newark. The shelter provides care for stray and injured animals and works to reunite lost pets with their families. Each city has its own Animal Services Officers who respond to animal-related concerns. In Fremont, Animal Services Officers also help with pet licensing and respond to animal service calls.

We also provide safe shelter and care for animals who are lost or need a new home. Our work supports the health and safety of the entire Tri-City community.
