The Building Appeals Board hears and decides appeals of orders, decisions, and determinations made by the City's Building Official and Fire Marshal related to building and fire codes.

Appeals Fees

Fees are based on the type of appeal to the board. The fees are as follows:

• a $335 fee for appeals of administrative citations;
• a $770 fee for appeals of a Building Official determination and any other non-specified appeals; and
• a $960 deposit-based fee for appeals of 1) a City order to abate a nuisance or 2) a City order to vacate a property; if costs are less than the deposit, the remaining balance would be refunded.
