About

The Environmental Sustainability Commission advises the City Council on issues and policies that support a greener, more sustainable Fremont.

Advising the City Council on new and emerging sustainability policies.
Providing input on updates to the Climate Action Plan and reviewing progress toward meeting climate goals.
Recommending policies for recycling, waste reduction, and resource conservation.
Supporting public education and outreach to encourage community participation in sustainability efforts.
Offering a forum for residents to share ideas and feedback on environmental topics.
When requested by the City Council, the commission may take on other advisory roles related to environmental sustainability.

Commission meets quarterly, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Meetings are scheduled for the first Thursday of the months of March, June, September, and December. Check agenda for any changes to the standard meeting time.
