The Rent Review Board reviews proposed rent increases when a landlord or tenant requests a review under the City’s Rent Review Program in Fremont Municipal Code Chapter 9.60.
The City Council adopted the ordinance creating the Board, which took effect on January 1, 2018.
Meetings
If there is business before the board, meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, at 6:30 pm at City Hall, Building B, Training Room.

Board Members
The Board has five members and one alternate. The City Council appoints all members under Fremont Municipal Code Chapter 2.20, Article XV.
The Board includes:
- Two landlord representatives who own rental units in Fremont
- One neutral member who lives in Fremont and is not a landlord or tenant
- One alternate who is also a neutral Fremont resident
