About

Explores and identifies issues and concerns of special importance to teens and communicates those issues to the City Council. Encourages teen leadership and responsibility through involvement. Creates a forum for the purpose of encouraging public discussion of teen issues; such as, but not limited to, meetings, workshops and conferences.

Meetings

6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Commission meets on the first Monday of each month (except July & August)
Special meetings are scheduled as needed
City Hall, Building B, Training Room, 3300 Capitol Avenue

Application Process

While the Youth Advisory Commission can accept applications year-round, typically the commission reviews applications April through June for the term that begins next school year. It is suggested to submit applications during the month of March. If applications are turned in before that, it would not reflect all the accomplishments you have had over the school year.
