Building Safety Month

Let’s celebrate what keeps Fremont built to last! May is Building Safety Month, an annual global campaign led by the International Code Council (ICC). This campaign is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of building safety.

City Support

Fremont proudly supports Building Safety Month, recognizing that up-to-date building codes help safeguard our community. Our dedicated Building and Safety Division works to implement and enforce these codes for homes, workplaces, businesses, and public spaces.

Built to Last

This year’s theme for Building Safety Month is “Built to Last,” which reminds us that long-term safety is rooted in strong building practices—whether at home, through the work of skilled professionals, or through building codes designed to withstand disasters and support accessibility for everyone.
