The City of Fremont participates in the National Flood Insurance Program, run by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA determines Fremont's flood risk and provides official Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM Panels). 

Flood Insurance Discounts

Property owners who are required to buy flood insurance because the property is in an official flood hazard area receive a 10% discount on flood insurance premiums. The City earns this discount for the community through ongoing work to reduce flood risk and meet FEMA requirements under the Community Rating System.

Elevation Certificates

Elevation certificates show a property’s elevation in relation to sea level, which helps determine flood risk and flood insurance rates. 

Certificates are organized by FEMA flood map panel number and property address. 

The Engineering Division keeps Elevation Certificates for new buildings and major construction improvements located in Special Flood Hazard Areas. You can view copies below or in person.
