Fremont Fire Department's Training and EMS Division is comprised of two teams each with distinct roles and responsibilities.
Training Division
Develop, coordinate, and deliver in-house training related to fire suppression, fire and special operations, equipment use and maintenance, fire rescue, etc.
Manage and provide support for various training related projects and programs.
Administer firefighter lateral and recruit (new-hire) academies.
Manage and track firefighter credentials, certifications, and continuing education.
Manage and administer professional development opportunities, skills assessment and evaluation, and promotional academies.
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division
Facilitate EMS Continuing Education (EMS CE) opportunities for the department's suppression personnel
Manage and provide support EMS projects and programs.
Develop, coordinate, and deliver EMS educational opportunities to maintain and improve clinical competence.
Administer EMS skills assessment.
Manage and track EMS credentials, certifications, and continuing education.
