VolunteeringThe Fremont Fire Department offers community members opportunities for career / personal development and to engage in community service.

Volunteer Position(s) requirements:

  • Applicant requirements:
    • Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License with a clean record.
    • Must be 18 years old or over.
    • Must currently live within 20 miles of Fremont.
    • Must be in satisfactory medical condition.
    • Must not have felony convictions.
    • Must not have had misdemeanor convictions within the last 3 years.
    • Must be High School graduate or equivalent.
    • Must undergo a thorough background check and fingerprinting clearance.
    • Wear a uniform when on volunteer assignment / scene of calls.

     

  • Assignment Overview:
    • Use technology for communication, navigation, alerting, etc.
    • Participate in community and department events.
    • Respond to 'call-outs' regularly.
    • Follow directions while working near emergency scenes.
    • Attend  monthly meetings.
    • Submit monthly timesheets.

Volunteer Application:

To volunteer with the Fremont Fire Department, complete a Volunteer Application.

Submit completed form to Fremont Fire Department.
