Same Day Rides For Older Adults & People With Disabilities

Services

  • Ride Hailing Services: For people who walk unaided or use a cane or walker (curb-to-curb; not wheelchair accessible).
  • Wheelchair Accessible Van (WAV) Service: For people who use a wheelchair and need accessible transportation.

Our services complement and supplement the ADA Paratransit services provided by East Bay Paratransit and Union City Paratransit. 

Who Can Use this Service?

  • Resident of Fremont, Newark, or Union City.
  • 70 years of age or older; or,
  • 18-69 years of age and are certified with ADA Paratransit.

Availability

  • Available from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, seven days a week.
  • To and from destinations within Fremont, Newark, and Union City.
  • A maximum of thirty one-way trips per month.

Cost

  • Rides cost $4 per one-way trip.
  • No extra charge for companions or attendants.

Apply Now for Ride-On Tri-City Transportation Services

Use our online Transportation Services Application to apply for the transportation service that best fits your needs.  After you submit your application, our Ride-On Tri-City staff will review it to:

  • Verify eligibility and ensure the applicant is enrolled in the most appropriate transportation service.
  • Determine if other community transportation options are available to you and help you connect with those services.

Ride-On Tri-City staff will contact all applicants to explain services and answer any questions they may have.  

We are currently receiving a large volume of applications.  Please allow us at least a week to respond.  We will process all applications in to order in which they are received.
