Buena Vista Neighborhood Park Playground Upgrades and Pathway Installation
The Buena Vista Neighborhood Park renovation project includes the installation of a meandering ADA-accessible walking path, extending from the Mission Boulevard panhandle and the perimeter of the park. The playground will also be receiving an upgrade with new modern play area structures with increased play value and accessibility.
California Nursery Historical Park Master Plan Implementation
The California Nursery Historical Park Master Plan was adopted in 2017. Learn more about the master plan and find out how the plan is being implemented at the park.
Centerville Community Park Expansion
The park expansion project will complete the 20-acre Centerville Community Park and the development of the existing neighborhood surrounding the park. The existing adopted master plan was developed in 2002. Learn more about the project and project updates.
Centerville Community Park Restroom and Underground Utilities
The project includes the installation of new PG&E service, installation of underground utilities to the new restroom building, installation of fire sprinklers, and foundation preparation for placement of the new restroom building,
Central Park Babbling Brook Bridge
The project involves the demolition and replacement of the aging wooden bridge spanning the seasonal brook in Central Park
Central Park Dog Park Synthetic Turf Replacement
The project includes the removal and disposal of the existing synthetic turf at the dog park, and the installation of synthetic turf.
Central Park Knoll Pickleball Court Lighting
Eight pickleball courts were installed and opened in June 2024 at the Central Park Knoll site. To meet community demand and to extend court usage into the evenings, the City is currently in the next phase of the project to install court lighting.
Central Park Pathway Extension from Stevenson Blvd to Lake Elizabeth
The project entails the installation of an ADA-compliant 10’ wide concrete path that will stretch approximately 2700 linear feet from an existing concrete path in Lake Elizabeth to Stevenson Boulevard. This concrete pathway will replace the existing compacted dirt- use trail.
Central Park Skate Park Picnic Area Modifications
The project will improve and upgrade the existing picnic areas for accessibility and add additional picnic area space and site furnishings for public use at the north side of the Skate Park.
This project will prepare the future site of the New Community Center by removing trees. The City plans to replace them with 70 new native species trees by 2027.
Los Cerritos Community Park Play Area Upgrades
The playground renovation will include new modern play equipment with increased play value, and overall accessibility improvements for the playground equipment as well as the surrounding playground seating
Pacific Commons Sports Park
The 40-acre Pacific Commons Sports Park is located at the end of Auto Mall Parkway towards the Baylands. The proposed programming of the Community Park Master Plan is still in process due to budget considerations.
The Palm Avenue Community Park project is Fremont's newest community park. The project will undergo a demolition phase followed by the design and construction phase, and will involve community input. Check the webpage to learn more about this new park project.
- The Demolition Phase will include the demolition of three structures, which include the two single-family homes and the metal shed.
The Patterson Ranch Neighborhood Park is an 8-acre vacant site located in the Ardenwood neighborhood and is immediately adjacent to Coyote Hills Regional Park. The project is currently in the early stages of design development, which will be followed by an environmental review, to begin by the end of summer.
Vallejo Mill Historical Park Pickleball and Dog Park
The project will create four new pickleball courts including sports court lighting and a new dog park. The dog park be in a natural setting with existing trees, with bark mulch surfacing, four feet high fencing, and park user and maintenance access gates and entry areas.
