About the Park Project

This new park development project entails the expansion of Centerville Community Park in the undeveloped 10 acres bordered by Eggers Drive and Hasting Street. The park expansion project will complete the 20-acre Centerville Community Park and the development of the existing neighborhood surrounding the park. The park will provide a social center for the neighborhood and serve the recreation facility needs of greater Fremont. Complimenting the existing community center, tennis courts, softball field, basketball and handball facilities will be a less structured free flowing park that emphasizes un-programmed leisure activities. The park will knit together active and passive uses in the park to serve people of all ages with a variety of interests.

Modified Master Plan

In 2025, the proposed site improvements were refined through a value engineering process to align the project budget with rising construction costs. Overall, the items removed from the 2023 Master Plan include one pickleball court (four remain), one group picnic area (one remains), consolidation of multiple play areas into two centralized zones, and removal of the Hastings Street parking lot.View the image below of the modified master plan with the project cost reduction update.
