About the Project

As part of the Central Park Dog Park Synthetic Turf Replacement Project, the small dog park will be renovated. The scope of work includes removing the existing turf, preparing the subbase, and installing a new permeable base and new synthetic turf.

Timeline

The small dog park will be closed for construction beginning Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and is anticipated to reopen to the public by early March 2026.

The large dog park has reopened to the public January 2026.
