Palm Avenue Community Park
The City of Fremont invites community members to share their ideas for Palm Avenue Community Park—Fremont’s newest planned community park. Located on a scenic 13-acre site with hillside views and nestled near residential neighborhoods, the park is envisioned to include sports fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, open lawn areas, and walking paths.
Your input will help guide the park’s design to reflect community priorities. Join us at one of the upcoming in-person events or take the online survey to provide your feedback.

This is the project page for the new Palm Ave Community Park. This future 13-acre park is envisioned to serve the needs of the entire Fremont community. Based on the community input from the 2022 Parks and Recreation Master Plan and City-adopted design guidelines, it is anticipated that Palm Ave Community Park will generally include amenities such as sports fields, sport courts, passive lawn play areas, playgrounds, picnic areas, connecting sidewalks and landscape areas.
Fremont, “Community Parks” are larger parks that extend beyond the neighborhood level to serve citywide recreational needs by providing a combination of active sports and open spaces at parks similar in size to Palm Ave Community Park like Warm Springs, Irvington, Sylvester Harvey, Nordvik, Marshall and Los Cerritos Community Parks. Community parks also include additional amenities like restrooms and parking lots.
The Palm Ave site faces some design considerations that may not apply to other Community Parks. It is through the design, environmental, and mitigation processes that concerns such as traffic, parking, park access, and the analysis of community-desired appropriate amenities are reviewed before being recommended to City Council for final Master Plan approval.
Currently, all the feedback from emails and our three community outreach events, including the community meeting and the 1600+ responses to the community survey has been summarized. This information will be presented at the September 3rd Recreation Commission meeting.
