About the Project

The scope of work for this project generally consists of the removal of the existing turf sod, outside of the configuration of the perimeter pathway design, the regrading of the perimeter path, installation of a 12 foot wide pedestrian pathway, with six new entry points surrounding the central island park location. The new ADA access points will be created to ensure full access to all of Harvey Community Park's users. The meandering path will be just over a half mile long, making active exercise an easily monitored experience and the area outside of the meandering path will be planted with no-mow turf grass to reduce maintenance costs and create an interesting landscape environment. The existing irrigation system will be modified to increase efficiency and reduce wasteful water overthrow.

Timeline

The project is scheduled for construction in mid-August 2023.
