Fremont Cultural Arts Council (FCAC) Scholarship

Through the Fremont Cultural Arts Council’s (FCAC) generous donation, this scholarship offers qualifying Fremont families financial assistance for theater, musical theater, dance, art, and cooking programs. It provides youth with the opportunity to participate in Recreation programs and explore their creativity through the arts.

Up to 16 scholarships are awarded in the amount of $175 per participant to eligible Fremont residents registering for one of the approved programs. If the program fee exceeds the scholarship amount, parents/guardians are responsible for paying the remaining balance.

Scholarships are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible Fremont residents, with a limited number available.

Art Classes: 

Valentine's Goodie Workshop, Hands Together Ceramics, HeARTs Together, Youth & Teen Ceramics, Digital Photography, Beginner's Amigurumi, Print with Me!, Explore Printmaking - Gelli Printing, Painting with Acrylics, Figure Drawing 101, Beginning Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, Tour of Indian Folk Art, Ceramics for Adults, Mosaic Making, Project Art: Acrylic Painting, Mini Art Series: Sun & Moon Paintings, Valentine's Art & Sip, Hula, Paper Quilling Workshop. 

Cooking Classes: 

Junior Chefs - Favorite Dishes from Restaurants, Storybook Cooking for Small Chefs, Pizza Party!, Celebrating Us! - Scrapbooking Workshop. 

Dance Classes: 

Bollywood, Indian Contemporary, Dance Together, Disney Dance Party, Line Dance, First Steps Ballet, Tap & Twirl, Jazz, Bollywood, Line Dance. 

Cooking Camp:

Scholarship applications and registration can be completed online. Scholarships are first-come, first-served to eligible Fremont residents. Please note: There is a limit to the amount scholarships available, so please register early. Use the Scholarship Request Form to apply. Applicants must be Fremont Residents and submit a copy of one of the qualifying documents* listed below dated within 30 days of submitting the scholarship form. 

• PG&E Bill with a CARE or FERA Discount

• General Assistance (Notice of Action or Copy of Check from County Social Services)

• CalWORKS (Notice of action, printout, or benefit letter)

1. Review scholarships offered and scholarships eligibility requirements. If you qualify and are interested in registering, complete the following steps: 
2. Complete our online scholarship form and upload your qualifying document*.   
3. An account on our registration system is required. Visit www.RegeRec.com to create your account today. If you forgot your password, you can retrieve it by using the Forgot Password link. Please be sure to add all members of your household. 
4. Staff will review scholarship requests and qualifying documents.
5.  Please check your email for staff approval and the information on the next steps (approximately within 2 business days). 
6. If approved, you will be emailed a coupon code. Register online  and use the code at checkout to receive your scholarship(s). Please note: scholarships are limited. Parents/guardians will be responsible for paying the remaining cost of programs (if applicable).
