Attendees are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and arrive early. When possible, consider carpooling, walking, biking, or using rideshare services.

Drop-Off, Pick-Up & Rideshare

For drop-off, pick-up, and rideshare services, the recommended location is 1740 Stevenson Blvd. near the Dog Park and Basketball Courts. The dog park will be closed on July 2^nd, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. and reopen on July 3^rd, 2026.

Parking Lots

Parking lots closest to the event are expected to fill quickly. Once parking lots along Paseo Padre Parkway reach capacity, they will be closed to support traffic flow and public safety.

Reminder: Vehicles that are parked illegally will be cited and towed. No parking will be allowed along Paseo Padre Pkwy & Stevenson Blvd near Central Park.

Due to anticipated attendance for this event, the community should expect:

• Larger-than-usual crowds in and around Central Park
• Increased traffic and parking demand in surrounding neighborhoods
• Temporary traffic pattern measures and lane closures, particularly affecting Paseo Padre Parkway
• Increased pedestrian activity before and after the event
• To plan ahead and allow extra time when traveling near Central Park on July 2^nd, 2026

Lane Closures

Please note the following closures will go into effect on Thursday, July 2^nd, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m. and are expected to reopen before 11:59 p.m. These changes are being implemented to support pedestrian safety and event operations on this high‑attendance night.

• No left turns or U-turns at Mission View Dr. & Paseo Padre Pkwy.
• No left turn or U-turns at Baylis St. & Paseo Padre Pkwy.
• No left turn or U-turns at Sailway Dr. & Paseo Padre Pkwy.
• No U-turns northbound at Paseo Padre Pkwy. & Grimmer Blvd.
• No U-turn near Shadow Brooke Common & Paseo Padre Pkwy.
• U-turns available at Stevenson Blvd. & Paseo Padre Pkwy.
• U-turns available at Gomes Rd. & Paseo Padre Pkwy.
• Alternate access to Durham neighborhood available via Fremont Blvd.

Pedestrian Safety

Practice pedestrian safety while walking to and from the event. Always use crosswalks and never cross mid-block. Busy streets like Stevenson Blvd and Paseo Padre Pkwy can be especially dangerous during large events, like the drone show. Since the event will be after sundown, pedestrians should wear reflective clothing to increase visibility.

Drivers should remain alert for increased pedestrian activity throughout the event.

View Traffic Impacts

Lost & Found & First Aid

Lost & Found and First Aid services will be available at the City of Fremont booth in the Central Park vendor area during the event. If you misplace an item, please visit the booth to check for recovered belongings.

If a child becomes separated from their parents/guardians, please notify City of Fremont staff in the Central Park vendor area immediately, so we can assist with reuniting them safely.

Drone No-Fly Zone

Drones are not permitted in parks per FMC 12.20.060(y). The space above the Central Park area is a No-Fly Zone for drones (UAVs). Violators may be cited and/or fined. 

Safety Information

The Fremont Police Department reminds attendees that large bags and suspicious persons are subject to search. Please stay aware of your surroundings, report any suspicious activity, and do not confront individuals involved. For non-emergencies, call (510) 790-6800 (option 3) or text “TIP FREMONTPD” followed by your message to 888-777. In an emergency or to report a crime in progress, please dial 9-1-1.

Fireworks Banned

All fireworks are illegal in the City of Fremont. This ban includes the “safe and sane” variety of fireworks.
