Wally Pond Irvington Community Center is located in a 12-acre park in the Irvington District of Fremont. Built as a sports and conference facility, the Community Center is unable to accommodate wedding receptions.

Rooms 

  • Sports Gymnasium: 14,000 square feet with a high school-sized basketball court, championship-sized volleyball court, and six badminton courts. 

  • Conference Room*: Accommodates 85 people. Includes white board and tables and chairs for maximum capacity. 

  • Children’s Party Room*: Accommodates 45 people. Includes a sink, private patio/playground, child sized restroom, and child sized tables and chairs that can accommodate up to 24 children. 

  • Picnic Area: Accommodates 70 people. Includes 7 picnic tables and 4 charcoal grills. 

*Each room is provided with tables and chairs to accommodate their maximum seating capacity. 

Drop-In Sports

Drop-in sports are available first-come, first-serve for $5 for residents and $6 for non-residents. See below for specific dates/times.

Badminton
  • Fridays from 8:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (Court A)
Basketball
  • Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (Court B)

Pickleball

  • Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. from January 5 - March 30, 2026
  • Exception dates: January 19, February 16, March 16, and March 18.

Rental Rates 

For ALL rentals, there is a Refundable Cleaning/Damage Deposit of $275. Full payment is required upon approval of application. 

  • Applicants must show proof of residency and/or proof of Fremont Non-Profit status when booking for discounts. 
  • Saturday rentals by Fremont Non-Profit groups are charged the hourly resident rate. 
  • City policy states that events with 100+ guests require an additional staff member at $25/hr

How to Reserve 

  • Submit Rental Packet Picnic & Park with driver’s license and/or other above documents via email or in person at Wally Pond Irvington Community Center, 41885 Blacow Rd., Fremont, 94538 during business hours.  

  • Payment accepted in full by credit/debit card, check, and cash (reservations by check must be made 14 days in advance).
