City of Fremont Celebrates Groundbreaking of Central Park Community Center

The City of Fremont celebrated a major milestone on Friday, April 17, 2026 with the groundbreaking of the new Central Park Community Center. The project, identified as a priority in the Parks and Recreation Master Plan, reflects extensive community input and continued investment in high quality recreational spaces.

The new multi-use facility will provide flexible indoor spaces for fitness, arts, enrichment programs, and community gatherings, serving residents of all ages. Planned features also include outdoor gathering areas and enhanced amenities to support a wide range of programs and events.

Construction is now underway, with completion anticipated in 2028.
